8 Questions to Ask God as You Prepare for 2025

Updated: Jan 2

As 2024 comes to a close, I want to share some practical tips for your year end reflection. While I am not offering faith-based vision board classes in 2025 unless requested, I wanted to send out a few practical tips to help you reflect.

Pause to Propel

If you attended the 2024 class we talked about slowing down to speed up. I decided to practice that same exercised to reflect on my year end. Here are a few tips you can incorporate in reflection.

  1. Look for words or phrases that were on your board. Reflect with gratitude at how God provided.

  2. Journal the highs and lows. What are you proud of this year? Did you take time to celebrate those wins? What lessons emerged? Write questions to prepare for the year ahead.

Letter to God

After reflecting on 2024, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for God’s provision. Writing a letter to God became a meaningful way to deepen that reflection. Here are a few questions I asked.

What is your perspective on my 2024? What pleased you? What do you want to grow in me? What part of my identity do you want me to see that I’m not seeing? How do you want me to express that going forward?

If you’re new to listening prayer, it may feel unfamiliar at first, but God promises to speak when we stop to listen. You can lean into His voice with openness—it’s worth the practice.

I'm convinced if we stop and say yes to his voice, you'll hear from him. Does God really want to speak to me? Why not?!

8 Key Questions You Might Want to Ask Him for 2025

Personal Growth

  • What gifts have you placed in me that you want to mature?

  • Is there something I'm holding onto that is keeping me back from what you have?

  • How do you want me to move forward?

  • How can I lean on you more fully?

Healing and Relationships

  • What do you want to heal in me so I can better connect with ________?

  • Is there anything you want me to do so I can shine your love to... (my parent, friend, sibling, boss, child, etc.)?

  • Am I carrying childhood wounds that prevent me from loving on _______ freely?

  • What gifts have you placed in my child, spouse, friend you want me recognize and nurture?

As you look back on 2024 and dream for 2025, remember that God’s love for you is boundless. Reflect on His perspective, and don’t be afraid to carry unfinished goals into the new year. If you need help with goal setting, feel free to reach out. Here’s to stepping into 2025 with hope, faith, and purpose. Happy New Year—you are deeply loved!

Coaching for a Cause

Since our 2024 Vision Board class, I have graduated from The Freedom Framework™ Certification Program. I now integrate listening prayer and traditional coaching models to guide clients in cultivating a listening lifestyle. This approach empowers clients to surrender areas of struggle and embrace divine transformation.

In 2025, I am excited to accept a limited number of coaching clients to support my goal of raising $1,000 for Blackmore Missions. These funds will help Missionary Assistant Emily Blackmore establish creative arts in a new church plant in Liverpool, England.

As part of this initiative, I’m offering a special opportunity for clients to pay by donation, with 100% of your contributions being tax-deductible in support of this fundraiser. By investing in coaching, you’ll also be investing in freedom and creativity for others. If you’re interested, please email me for more details—I’d love to share more about this unique opportunity!
